At its February 2024 administrative conference, the Supreme Court of New Mexico approved sitting in terms with updates to the Court’s oral argument calendar. The Court’s first term will come to an end on July 15, 2025, at which time the Court anticipates having resolved all cases submitted over the course of the 2024-2025 term. 

The 2025-2026 term will begin this fall, with oral arguments in the months of September, October, and December. Dispositions for all cases submitted during the Court’s 2025-2026 term will be filed on or before July 15, 2026. At this time, no amendments to the Rules of Appellate Procedure are necessary to implement the Court’s new calendar. The Court will continue to set expedited appeals in accordance with Supreme Court Order No. 23-8500-016, In the Matter of the Modification of the Policy Expediting the Process for Specific Categories of Case upon the Issuance of Writ of Certiorari.
